Dr. Jay Passavant’s Impact Will Always Be Felt, Says Mercuri
8/23/2021
WEXFORD – Rep. Rob Mercuri (R-Allegheny) issued the following statement on the passing of Dr. Jay Passavant, the founding pastor of North Way Christian Community, who passed away peacefully at his home in the town of McCandless yesterday.

“Jay was a friend and true Samaritan in every sense of the word. His mission was to make a positive difference, which he did both nationally and internationally, through his investment into the lives of countless people by tending to their spiritual, emotional and physical needs.

“The community was uplifted by Jay’s influence. From inspiring weekly messages to food bank ministries, to counseling and care, and so much more – Jay gave his all to everyone. I am honored to have personally witnessed his life-changing ministries. He shaped who we are today as a family and as individuals.

“On behalf of the 28th Legislative District, my wife Kelsey, my family and me, I would like to extend my deepest sympathies to Jay’s wife, Carol, and the entire Passavant family.”
